Who could have seen the unbelievable reception this movie received in 1996? Directed Danny Boyle and blindingly on-point focus on the drug issues enveloping Edinburgh, at the time. (and many other cities and suburbs)
The Soundtrack was perfectly curated, although that seems a bit to contrived but the music nailed this all together. 'Iggy Pop', 'Primal Scream' 'Leftfield', 'Lou' Reed', 'Pulp' etc....
Fuckin' desperation, humanity and redemption....but not for all.
An important collection of music for those times, and perhaps even today.
